Time for a Change

The first five months of the year have come and gone, along with your resolutionary plans to run an 8 minute mile or to sculpt a tight summer butt. Since you can’t undo eating a whole birthday cake or that weekend reality-t.v.-athon, obsessing over the past or what you can’t have isn’t going to do you any good. If you don’t like where you’re at- change it- and change it now.

Small changes add up

You don’t have to become a vegan overnight or run five miles today. Add some veggies to your plate or go meatless for a meal. There’s a big happy range between all and nothing.

Try something new

Adding a little spice to your daily routine can keep you interested and on track. Try a new exercise-get outside and play volleyball with the family or go dancing with friends. Is there something you’ve always wanted to do and keep putting off? Give it a chance for 30 days to see if it’s right for you.

How’s it working for you?

You can’t keep doing the same stuff and expect different results unless you’re Gary Busey. You are where you are today as a result of the choices you have made in the past. The beautiful part is that you just have to make changes now to become the person you want to be in the future. A year from now you will wish you had started today.

Is it time for a change? How are you going to reconnect with your resolutions and yourself?

I'm going to make more time for the things and people I care about. What about you?

  1. Gary Busey? I hate that guy. Actually, he’s better after the brain injury. Anyhoo…it is time for a change. I’ve been stagnant for months, and I don’t like where I am, so what’s the point in staying there? I didn’t make any resolutions, but I do want to get back into my routine where I was actually losing weight and feeling good. So, you making time for me? :D

  2. Great post! One of my friends and I have started walking in the evenings to different places around town. We’ve done about an hour of brisk walking each night. We’re not only having a great time, but being out and about does wonders to help me feel refreshed and improve my mood!
